Frizzo - They Ain't Know

I had the opportunity to work with my friend The Mighty Snowcone and his homeboy, JB on this new music video. I wrote the shots that I wanted to capture down and we hit the city on a creative scavenger hunt of sorts. The man seen in the video pushing the cart of scrap metal came out of the shadows of the abandoned factory we were filming in. The beginning sequence of the video is an homage to the 1992 Oliver Stone film, "Zebrahead" in which a young Kevin Corrigan is seen lighting the grass field adjacent to his home on fire to underline the amount of industrial pollution in the area. When I first ran the idea of re-enacting this particular scene across with Snowcone, he chuckled and told me that he was actually in Zebrahead as an extra. Meet Eminem's First Producer

Before there was Dr. Dre and Eminem, there was Manix and Eminem. Manix was Eminem's childhood friend and the creator of Eminem's first recordings. They formed a group called Bassmint Productions which later became Soul Intent. They released tapes in Detroit in the early nineties and created quite a buzz. I've known Manix personally for some time and we're now in the middle of creating a six song E.P. due for release this year. I found some time to make it out to his place and I brought along some recording equipment and I captured a short interview with Manix. He goes into depth in the interview about his earlier days of hip hop production, living in Detroit, and what it takes to stay in the game. Check out the video:
